Tasting Notes
Thornbury Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2005
Tasting Notes

Distinctively Marlborough, the bouquet displays pungent passionfruit and gooseberry aromas. With excellent balance and intensity of flavour this wine is crisp and minerally in style, finishing with great persistence.

Food Match

Enjoy as an aperitif with flavoursome antipasti such as goats fetta, olives and sundried tomatoes, or try with a seafood or white fish dish.

Winemakers Notes

In the winery, the chilled fruit was pressed and cold settled before being racked and warmed for fermentation. Cool fermentation techniques and selected yeast strains were employed to retain aromatic characters. Winemaking for this product was simple and straightforward - all designed to capture the essence of the fruit without further input.

Cellaring

(Now until 2008). Serve Chilled.
