New look Thornbury Sauvignon Blanc released
September 2010

Matching the very best of New Zealand’s wine regions with the best varieties definitely demands the very best in packaging. To introduce the new look Thornbury, Thornbury Wines has released its 2006 Sauvignon Blanc.

The new packaging gives Thornbury a clean, modern and fresh look, reflecting the elegant wine within. Still featuring the character of Dionysus, the Greek God of Wine, the wine remains easily recognisable as Thornbury. The label has also made the key purchasing information such as region, brand, varietal and vintage easier to read on the front label.

As for the Sauvignon Blanc, Winemaker Simon Fell describes it as “Pure Marlborough!”   2006 proved to be a great year for Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, allowing the winery to produce a strong supply of this wine, leading to wide spread availability in supermarkets, fine wine retailers and on premise.    This wine has pungent passionfruit and gooseberry aromas and a palate showing excellent balance and intensity of flavour.
